Episode 105: A Very British Episode


In the first half of episode 105, the girls recap on Silicon Valley ComiCon and the Science March in San Jose, and then Jade discusses her geeky-inspired trip to the U.K, including the Doctor Who experience in Cardiff. In the second half of the show, they discuss British yarn and their latest crafting/sewing/knitting projects.

SVCC & the Science March --- Jade had a fabulous time at SVCC; it was much better than the previous year. And Sandy volunteered at the Science March. This year, SVCC & the Science March coincided, and both Sandy&Jade enjoyed the events.

    • Kitty hats in Magic Ice DK, trans flag colors. (pink, blue white) Acrylic yarn with loooong color transitions, excellent for crochet and knitting.
    • For Transgender Day of Visibility, (actually 3/31) celebration on  April 1, at the Billy deFrank Center. I’ll be offering these for a donation to the center.
    • Using formula for hat sizes given in official P*ssyhat page, as well as a few basic beanies on Ravelry (Kitkat hat, etc.) Also making some earless beanies for those who do not want tomfoolery but do want the flag colors.

    Episode 101: Binging


    In this episode, Sandy & Jade talk about the phenomena of binge watching, and what they, themselves, have been binge watching -- from science fiction to anime to super hero shows.

Whether you use it to make drawstrings for your projects, beaded fiber necklaces and bracelets, or even as a starting i-cord for a knit project, this simple craft has a lot of possibilities.
