Geek Girl Crafts Podzine: Issue 5 -- COOOONNNNSSSS!


The FIFTH edition of the Geek Girl Crafts Podzine is now available! In this fanzine, we focus a little bit more on conventions and the elements surrounding them.



In this issue, we have:
  • Notes from the Editor -- Welcome Back Everyone!
  • Community -- Bill Howard talks about community in fandom.
  • Learning How to Run a Convention: Hotel Liason -- Jennifer "Radar" Wylie talks about learning the ins-and-outs of learning how to run a convention.
  • How I do a 'Zine (Or how you shouldn't run a 'Zine) -- Hugo-winner Chris Garcia discusses how he puts together his fanzines
  • Fan of a Different Color -- .Jade talks about some of her experience in fandom as a person of color.
  • Knitted Cosplay -- Who knew you could make an entire cosplay costume from knitting? Certainly, the girls of Geek Girl Crafts were surprised and delighted to find someone who did just that!
  • Con Kibble -- Yvette provides a couple of recipes to create your own con kibble for the next convention.

Geek Girl Crafts Podzine: Issue 4!


The FOURTH edition of the Geek Girl Crafts Podzine is now available!




In this issue, we have:

  • Podcasting: an How-to Overview  -- Interested in podcasting? Jade gives you a high-level overview of how to get started.
  • Mathematics and Science in Yarn -- Jade discusses how mathematicians and scientists are using fiber arts to discover more about certain theories, and are actually disproving whole theories with crocheted items!
  • Crafting Memories with Scrapbooking -- During our interview with Jean Martin, she spoke about her love for scrapbooking, and now she expounds more about the topic. She creates scrapbooks from all the photos she takes at every fannish event.

Geek Girl Crafts Podzine: Issue 3 -- GAMING Edition

The third edition of the Geek Girl Crafts Podzine is now available! This time, it's our Gaming Edition!

Geek Girl Crafts PodZine: Issue 2

Well, Jade finally managed to get her act together and release the 2nd issue of the Geek Girl Crafts Podzine --  a quarterly fanzine based off our podcast, and all of those things that we love doing and talking about.

And she managed to get it into the last few days of this quarter! (She sincerely apologizes and blames the holiday season.)


For this 25 page issue, we have a slew of articles for your perusal:

Geek Girl Crafts PODZINE! The Premier Issue


We did it! We finally managed to put it together! The girls and I are proud to introduce the premier issue of the Geek Girl Crafts Podzine!

This will be a quarterly fanzine based off our podcast, and all of those things that we love doing and talking about.



For this 45 page issue, we were very lucky and had a slew of very geeky & crafty people who were willing to spend their time writing a variety of articles for us, including:
  • A full transcription of our N.K. Jemisin interview
  • A Con Report on San Diego Comic-Con
  • Leather Up! Leatherworking is easier than you think!
  • Planning a Geek Themed Wedding
  • A diary on the creation of the Tron: Legacy costume
  • A knitting pattern for a youth-sized sweater.
